Spatial analysis of a refugee settlement opened in 1993 and the city developed around it since the camp's existence. The study shows how interconnected the settlements for displaced people and settlement for host communities are when looked at from an area-based perspective, highlighting impact of uncoordinated policies, lack of planning tools and prolonged reliance on aid.
