Mazingira Yetu Magazine is an Environmental Education Publication first published in December 2012 by Mazingira Yetu Organisation. It’s registered with the Kenya Copy Rights Board, the Registrar of Books and Newspapers and is a member of International Union of Conservation of Nature-Commission of Education and Communication (IUCN-CEC) as well being recognized by UN Climate Change Learning Partnership (UN CC: Learn) as a publication that’s on the forefront of educating communities on climate change.
The magazine is published in English language on a quarterly basis and is available for free on Google Play Store. The print format is distributed for free to public schools and community Resource centres across East Africa. Mazingira Yetu Magazine readership is across the world and it is one of the few environmental-based publications in Kenya.
It’s previous issues had themes such as ‘Restoring Urban Rivers’ to ‘The Plastic Question’ and ‘Climate Crisis’. It encompasses articles, interviews and testimonials from experts with diverse backgrounds and have significantly contributed in new areas of research in the domain of environmental sustainability.
